yesterday, when i left the office we had such wonderful light, so i decided to walk (!!!) around the corner of our office building and took a couple of shots with the (always with me) exilim. hope you like the view.

my new flickr set. not complete, but already fun to look at.

finishing touches. this really starts to look like the real deal. can´t wait to see the final result!

so i contacted star, the artist that did the illustrated version and asked if she would be willing to work on this project and she said yes in a heartbeat.

she also agreed to show me (and let me show you) lowres versions of the progress she makes while illustrating my picture. enjoy:

this is starting to look like the original picture. again - to me this is just amazing! there should be a star in every home!

ladies and gents, let me present to you the most interesting picture in my flickr photostream, which also happens to be one of my personal all time favorites.

this is also one of the main reasons, why i thought it would probably be a good idea to have it printed and framed in order to replace one of the two old black & white pictures hanging above my bed.

but since there is two of them, i did not know what to do about the other picture. it would have to be something matching in motive, size, colour and a lot of other things or otherwise it would just look plain stupid. (...and believe me there are already enough things that look plain stupid in my bedroom!) so what on earth was i supposed to do?

being the genius that i am, i remembered having seen two matching pictures in the photostream of katie west recently. so i looked it up and found the original as well as the illustrated version. i instantly felt that this was exactly the kind of stuff i wanted: an illustrated version of my own picture. how cool is that?

so i contacted star, the artist that did the illustrated version and asked if she would be willing to work on this project...
